Costa Rica at Its Best is a 13-day / 12-night journey combining some of the country’s most representative destinations, from the Caribbean to the Pacific.
Throughout the trip, you will visit Tortuguero, Puerto Viejo, the Arenal Volcano area, Monteverde and Manuel Antonio, combining nature, beaches, volcanoes, cloud forest and national parks.
The program includes transportation between destinations and several guided experiences, while also allowing free time to enjoy each region at a more relaxed pace.

Day 1 – Arrival in Costa Rica | San José Arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport. Private transfer from the airport to your hotel in San José. Accommodation: Radisson San José.
Day 2 – San José – Tortuguero Breakfast at the hotel. Shared transfer from San José to Tortuguero, combining land and boat transportation to reach this destination on Costa Rica’s Northern Caribbean coast. Accommodation: Tortuguero Beach.
Day 3 – Tortuguero | Canals and National Park Breakfast at the hotel. Tour through the canals of Tortuguero, traveling by motorboat along the natural waterways of the area accompanied by a guide. The day also includes entrance to Tortuguero National Park. Includes: motorboat transportation, guide and entrance to Tortuguero National Park. Accommodation: Tortuguero Beach.
Day 4 – Tortuguero – Puerto Viejo Breakfast at the hotel in Tortuguero. Shared transfer from Tortuguero to Puerto Viejo, on Costa Rica’s Southern Caribbean coast. Accommodation: Villas Los Continentes.
Day 5 – Cahuita National Park Walking tour through Cahuita National Park, one of the main natural areas of Costa Rica’s Southern Caribbean, known for its beaches, tropical forest and wildlife diversity. Includes: land transportation, park entrance, fruit, lunch and guide. Accommodation: Villas Los Continentes.
Day 6 – Puerto Viejo – Arenal Volcano Morning shared transfer from Puerto Viejo to La Fortuna, in the Arenal Volcano area. Accommodation: La Pradera del Arenal.
Day 7 – Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna Waterfall Breakfast at the hotel. 2-in-1 Combo Tour: Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna Waterfall. This experience combines a hike in the Arenal Volcano area with a visit to La Fortuna Waterfall, one of the region’s most representative natural attractions. Includes: transportation, guide, hike in the Arenal Volcano area and visit to La Fortuna Waterfall. Accommodation: La Pradera del Arenal.
Day 8 – Arenal – Monteverde Breakfast at the hotel. Shared transfer from La Fortuna to Monteverde using the Bus – Boat – Bus service, combining land transportation with a boat crossing of Lake Arenal. Accommodation: Elida Lodge.
Day 9 – Monteverde Hanging Bridges Breakfast at the hotel. Hanging bridges tour in Monteverde, an experience that allows you to explore the forest and appreciate its vegetation and biodiversity from different levels. Includes: transportation, entrance to the hanging bridges and guide. Accommodation: Elida Lodge.
Day 10 – Monteverde – Manuel Antonio Breakfast at the hotel. Shared transfer from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio, on Costa Rica’s Central Pacific coast. Accommodation: Plaza Yara.
Day 11 – Manuel Antonio National Park Breakfast at the hotel. Guided walking tour through Manuel Antonio National Park, known for its combination of tropical forest, wildlife and Pacific beaches. Includes: transportation, guide, entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park and snacks. Accommodation: Plaza Yara.
Day 12 – Manuel Antonio | Free Day Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to enjoy Manuel Antonio and its surroundings, relax or add an optional activity according to your preferences. Accommodation: Plaza Yara.
Day 13 – Manuel Antonio – San José | End of the Journey Breakfast at the hotel. Morning shared transfer from Manuel Antonio to San José. Your international flight schedule must be compatible with the shared transfer schedule. If needed, it is possible to add a night near the airport or arrange a private transfer. End of services.
