Day 2) Today we will start the hike to this Mountain called Cerro Uran (The Cerro Uran range is part of the Continental Division of Costa Rica). This hike is through the forest on a narrow trail, perfect to watch the unique wild life in its own habitat, especially birds .An early breakfast and then our hike starts to reach the mountain fila known as Fila Uran. By walking on the continental divide we reach the Indian Pass Camp Area (3290 m) where we will spend the night. (Picnic lunch during the hike, and dinner at the Indian Pass). If weather permit it is possible to see San Isidro de El General from our camp as well as the Pacific Ocean. (Today’s trekking time: 8 hours approx.)(B,L,D)
Day 3) After having breakfast early while there is no light, we will continue our trek for 5 km towards Mount Uran (3600 m / 11,811 ft), and later on continue our trip for another 5 km to reach the highest peak in Costa Rica, Mount Chirripo (3820 m / 12,532 ft) where we are having lunch in a picnic that you will never forget. Once a top Chirripó we sign the hikers'
book and after a little rest, descend to Crestones Base Lodge (3372 m / 11,063 ft) by going across the Rabbits'
Valley (6 km more). (Dinner at the lodge). (Total distance today 16 km) (B,L,D)
Day 4) After having breakfast, we will hike down the mountains and we are going to do an stop half way from Crestones to San Gerardo, in a place call Llano Bonito where you are having a little snack. Our hike down will be 14.5 km and after leaving the moorland forest we will again enter the tropical cloud forest where you can appreciate lots of different kind of birds. Once we arrive to San Gerardo de Rivas we will enjoy a traditional lunch and then travel back to San Isidro de El General where the trip ends. (B, L)

The tour includes:
- Transportation from Hotel in San Isidro to Herradura de Rivas - San Gerardo de Rivas to San Isidro, entrance fees to the national park, 3 nights lodging, hikes in the park, bilingual guide and travel insurance. Meals (4B,4L,3D)
- We don't include energy food during hikes and lodging in San Isidro the night before or after the trip.
What to bring:
Hiking shoes (waterproof are recommended), rain jacket and rain pants, pack rain cover, fleece coat, hat, sunscreen, camera (200 ISO Film recommended), sunglasses, bowl and spoon, mug, hiking poles (recommended - available for rent in San Gerardo), sandals or shoes for resting in camp and lodges, sleeping bag, gloves, small towel, personal medicines, energy food, warm clothes (for inside and outside), good flashlight/headlamp with extra batteries.
**Pack everything in plastic bags inside your backpack. We recommend you to pack light stuffs. Remember you will be carrying your own backpack during the whole trip**.
